About Mainland Pipeline Inspections
We have been involved in the drainage industry in the Canterbury region for most of our working lives. Having started Charlton Hurrell Drainage in 1996 and sold as a going concern in 2006, this company has continued to grow and still services the Christchurch area.
MPI was founded in 2006 by Anthony Charlton and John Hurrell, We started with one van and Ibak mainline camera and one Pearpoint push camera. We worked to establish a strong customer base with our point of difference being able to provide a professional, expert service possible at reasonable rates.
Following the Christchurch earthquakes of September 2010 and February 2011 The underground infrastructure within Christchurch was severely damaged. This necessitated a major deployment of resources from throughout the Australasia region to clear, where possible, and assess the damage. This work still continues today.
MPI now employ 20 staff working with five Pan and Tilt cameras, and numerous push camera systems with various sizes and capabilities.
